EVALUATION SOFTWARE
We invite your institution or organisation to consider acquiring a license agreement to supply copies of any of the following software programs to each and every member, agent, broker, financial consultant – in fact to any member or to anyone who writes business for your institution. These software programs are not meant to replace any existing software currently distributed by any institution or organisation but merely to complement such software.
These programs have proved to be excellent ‘sales-aids’ and will, no doubt, recoup any institution costs many times over through increased business . We are prepared to rename and/or customise any of the programs to suit any institution’s needs (with, or without, needing activation codes and with, or without advertising the institutions products). For example, if an institution was interested in distributing copies of FinTaxPlus but wanted the EMV ‘Kwik-Quotes’ option and/or the FNA’s removed to avoid a possible clash with the institutions own principles, systems or products then this can easily be done. Even with these options removed, the rest of FinTaxPlus is brimming with calculators that tax and financial advisors, accountants etc will use every day of the week.
Although all our software is extremely user-friendly and the on-line accredited video lectures impart so much knowledge that very little support is required, we are available for any support 7-days a week. We will also be responsible for all improvements and regular updates etc.
All our software products are designed to help the financial advisor prove to the client that the financial advisor is the right person to look after the client’s investments and financial future. We have enjoyed a proven record, for decades, of supplying some of SA’s biggest financial institutions with tax and financial planning software. Please take the time to visit our web site, see what products we offer and read the Testimonials from some of our users. Our RF Advantage calculator is completely free and may be distributed right now by any person, institution or organisation to anyone. License agreements to distribute copies of WinTax and/or FinTaxPlus are incredibly reasonably priced. Please contact Tony de Wijn for details on how these license agreements can actually cost the institution or organisation nothing!
Click on the links below to download and install evaluation copies of the software and call Tony de Wijn if/when activation codes are needed (082 444 4249 or 031 464 2289) or email: tony@softbyte.co.za
WINDOWS 8 AND WINDOWS 10 SETTINGS
Windows 8 or Windows 10 users please note! Computers running Microsoft’s Windows 8 or Windows 10 may produce incorrect answers to some spreadsheet program calculations and also to calculations produced by programs such as WinTax etc. If you experience these problems with spreadsheets or with WinTax, BackTax or SoftFin, then you need to change your computer’s settings. Microsoft seem to be under the impression that we, in SA, use the same format for the date and for numbers as they use in the USA while we, in SA, actually follow the British format. In the USA, the character used as decimal symbol is different when using the American system compared to the British system. America shows the number seven-and-a-half as “seven comma five” while we show it as “seven point five” so we advise you to change your setting to English United Kingdom if you are using Windows 8 or Windows 10. The reasons why you should change the REGION AND LANGUAGE settings for countries such as South Africa are explained on Microsoft’s Support web site. The web site also tells how to change this setting. To change the setting
- Open your Settings option, select Time & Language, select Region & Language, select Additional date, time & regional settings. Under Clock, Language, and Region select Region: Change date, time or number formats.
- Use the drop-down menu to choose English United Kingdom and click Apply.
- Alternatively, you can select the Additional settings and change the Decimal symbol from a comma to a full-stop and Apply.
Once the new setting has been applied then all your software should operate correctly.
